sylvester stalloneSylvester Stallone was originally born July 6, 1946 in Hell's Kitchen as Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone. The oldest son of Francesco Stallone, Sr. (a hairdresser) and Jackie Stallone (astrologer, and dancer). Frank Stallone is his younger brother and actor. Complications during childbirth caused the lower left portion of Sylvester's face to be crippled, which gave him his iconic "snarling" look and slightly slurred speech. Stallone had a portion of his childhood in foster homes because of the conflicting parent-child relationship. The couple eventually divorced. Stallone studied drama in Switzerland at the American College before moving on to Miami University. Stallone left school in order to pursue acting in New York City.
