Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding - born Elena Jane Goulding (30 December 1986) in Hereford (England) she is an English musician and singer. Ellie Goulding dominated the UK charts in 2010 thanks to the catchy electro-pop tracks "Starry Eyed" and Guns and Horses. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Her unique soprano sibilance and knack of writing engaging, but emotionally honest songs, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap, stands at the forefront of the current mainstream and an independent, artistic pop.Goulding was soon moving from blogs to print media, gaining the attention of mainstream magazines like The Guardian and fielding offers from record labels. Polydor Records, a major music label, signed the singer and began making plans to release her debut album.
