Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah has worked as an actor, musician and playback vocalist on Tamil films and Malayalam film. Annayum, a Malayalam film made her Malayalam debut as an actor. Andrea Jeremiah has been identified as an Anglo-Indian born in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father works as a lawyer at the Madras High Court. Her younger sister is a research assistant from Belgium and works in Leuven. Jeremiah lived close to Chennai, was a student at National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. She has said that she was a fan of science and wanted to become psychiatrist when she passed her 12th board exams.Andrea learned classical piano when she was just eight. Young Stars, a Jackson Five-style group she was a part of at the age of 10, was her foundation for singing and composing music. In her college she was also a theater artist and performed in stage plays produced through The Madras Players. Andrea was the president of Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea's professional career began with the Girishkarnad Nagamandala. She acted in new leo coffee commercial together with actor Shiva in 2006. She was also in the Podhigai Channel, a television serial. She acted throughout India. She was in a short performance at the close of Kanda Mudhal 2005. Following her performance of a song for Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu she was asked to appear as one of the lead female character in his next film Pachaikili Muthucharam. This film was a film adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed. It featured Andrea portraying Kalyani an aspiring homemaker, her husband who is caught in a sexual affair and gets targeted by a blackmailer. Andrea won the role of Kalyani when Simran Shobana Tabu and other actresses were approached. Released in Early 2010. In 2011, she agreed to play a minor supporting role in Venkatprabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha and it was released in August 2011, Annayum Rasoolum is a romantic movie directed by Rajeeev Ravi, released in 2013, was the actress's Malayalam debut.
