Sofia Pernas is a Moroccan actress, born and brought up at home in Orange County. At the age of 5 she emigrated from Morocco to California. She received her big break acting after graduating from University of California San Diego in the year 2015. Pernas, who had made small appearances in NCIS and Leverage prior to landing the role of Marisa on The Young and the Restless and was an established name on the soap. After leaving soap operas her actress was offered the role of Catalina in Jane the Virgin. The model, fluent in four languages, is currently on The Brave and The Green Ghost as Hannah Rivera. She also appeared Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Between 2019 and 2020, she played Lexi Vaziri in Blood & Treasure. Us Weekly revealed in May of 2020 that Pernas was engaged to Justin Hartley, her The Young and the Restless co-star. The romance came after The This Is Us star split with her wife Chrishell Stause November 2019. News came out on May 20, 2021, the couple Pernas and Hartley have recently got married at a private wedding.
